Missing the ballet lessons...

Part of the joy of staying with
my family in France
is sharing their
day to day activities.

One such activity is "looking in"
on the girl's weekly
ballet lesson.

spectacle de danse

My two Prima Donnas on stage
for their end of year
performance!

Ballet is a wonderful discipline
for girls.
It teaches them
graceful movement
beautiful carriage
and deportment.
A love of the arts.

  1. Reading your post reminded me of many happy years taking my grandson to ballet class.
He went on to have lessons with The Royal Ballet and dance with The National Youth Ballet amongst others.
    A very happy time!!

  3. I love the sight of those little ballerina's. my granddaughter used to dance when she was a little girl. Than she did street dance( I think) and how she is busy with field hockey. As long as they do sports they are alright. Have a nice week.

  5. Sweet photos of the ballet lessons and concert bring back happy memories of my own daughters' and grand daughter's dancing days. Our second daughter still enjoys dancing classes (not ballet) and we go to theatrical productions together now and again.
    Have a peaceful,creative week!

  10. Dearest Shane,
Ballet is a great way for girls to learn how to move graceful! Hope you get enough photos and videos so you still can be with them... It is hard for living that far away.
    Hugs to you,

  15. what adorable photos Shane. Although it's too bad you live so far away from each other it is nice that you can still make trips to France on occasion and capture special moments like these.

  16. Shane, I loved this post!
Last night I watched a program on the Knowledge network about a group trying to authenticate a painting believed to be by Degas (it turned out it was!) and through the show they discussed several of his paintings. I love his work, and the ballet and your post delighted me so much - thank you!
